(1) Among the goods declared by the Secretary to be auctioned in the customs inspection report, among the goods that are old and unserviceable, broken and useless and cannot be repaired, the price of the goods shall be up to 40,000 rupees if the price is disclosed, and 10,000 rupees at the current price if the price is not disclosed. Up to fifty thousand rupees or both, the authorized officer can auction the goods up to fifty thousand rupees after taking the opinion of the head of the financial administration branch and the staff in charge of the warehouse.
(2) In case of auctioning of goods worth more than the amount mentioned in sub-rule (1), it should be submitted to the District Development Committee and done according to the decision.
